My name is Ashli Davis (Kessel), I am 27 years old and from Sissonville, WV. I graduated from Sissonville High School in 2005 and have been in and out of school since then. I met my now husband, Drew in 2007 and we have been married since 2010.
We have a 2 year old son, Jaxen Shane. He is our world, and we love him dearly. He is smack in the middle of the "terrible twos" (yes it's a real thing) and is your typical boy. He loves tractors, bulldozers, and being loud. He sings, dances, and acts like a wild man all day long, but we wouldn't have it any other way. He looks like he is his daddys twin, but I'm praying he doesn't act like him.
Our first "children" were our dogs, Gibson and Oliver. Gibson is a Miniature Dachshund and is the cutest, long nosed, gray bearded, bare bellied, weenie dog around. Oliver is an Olde English Bulldog and is the sweetest, most slobbering, brut of a dog ever. They also have a special piece of our hearts.

Outside of working full time at Sissonville High School as a Teachers Aide, and being a mommy to a 2 year old, I also volunteer as a YoungLife leader. It is an organization that reaches out to high school kids who would normally be looked over, and lets them know that they are loved by us and more importantly, by Jesus. We dance, sing, play crazy games and then do a small devotional. It is something that I am very passionate about, and love doing.
As far as my musical ability and talent, its kind of not there. I used to play piano in middle school, but didn't make it very long. I sing at YoungLife, but not well. Although I am not talented musically, I really enjoy music. I feel like it is something we can all relate to, and would love to be able to share it with children. I hope that by taking this course, that is something I will be able to do as I pursue my career in Elementary Education. I love children and as Jaxen grows I realize that I want to make an impact on other kids lives as well. Plus, I would really like to have my summers off!
I am really looking forward to this course and getting to know my other class(web)mates!

As the mother of 2 boys, the terrible twos are only the beginning. don't lose hope though, or patience. Your little boy is a cutey and I like the "x" in his name. My boys names end in "x".
